Our foundation Lamanchas carry the  lines of Celtic Knot,  Joyful Morn,  Ryan's Ridge, Quixote, Dusty Diamond, LongVu, Brookwood,  and Marshmallow.  Our kids are always improving in udders, conformation and dairy character. Our Nubians are a blend of Cruzin Arces, Rimfires, and Cricket's Kids. We are working for more udder capacity and better back legs.

2008 Babies
Welcome to Teacup Farm Dairy Goats

Here at Teacup Farm we raise two breeds of goats Lamancha and Nubian goats.  My children show them in 4H along with dairy cattle, rabbits, pigs and poultry.  Also showing goat in some open shows in NYS.

Our Junior Doe Miley won best Jr doe 2008 Niagara County fair  against some exceptional Jr does of every breed.

We have a small herd of Purebred Brown Swiss cattle. We have exception lines.  At the Niagara County fair summer of 2008 the girls showed one cow, and two heifers.
Our Dairy cattle won everything in the Brown Swiss Breed.

In 2008 we added a second lamancha buck and a few new does trying to improve our show herd.  Check back for new addition of new goats and pictures .  Thank you Flowerhill for selling us some very nice goats.

Herd Management

Herd Management

We only buy goats from a select few clean herds. We work hard for optimal health. We add selium and
kelp to their daily ration. Our goats are given minimal shots to stay as all natural aspossible with out endangering the health of the animal.

We feed locally grown feed and as of this year we grew and cut our own hay. With no
chemicals added. We believe in Good old Sunshine and our barn doors stay open for pasture access except in
extreme bad winter weather.

We enjoy spending time with the goats and are present at all goat kidding. We raise our baby goats on fresh raw cow milk to ensure all nutritional value and to avoid the possible transmission of CAE goat arthritis. We have never seen any big knees or sickness from it in our herd but surely never want to take a chance with our babies.  We also have never had any CL abscesses in our herd and work very hard to not bring it in.

We feed a variety of feeds to create a natural balance for our animals' overall health.  Our herd is on pasture during all but the worst of the winter months, as well as receiving a mix of hays, such as oat/alfalfa mix, or timothy/alfalfa/clover.

This year due to the sales of Raw milk we tested for Brucellosis and TB the herd was negative for both.  We are present at each birth and camp out in the barn as not to miss a single one.
